LANCASTER, PA  & SIGHT & SOUND THEATRE

Enjoy a day in Dutch Country, Pennsylvania.  First stop at the spectacular Shady Maple Smorgasbord for a buffet lunch to include soups, salad, Country Fried Chicken, Baked Fish, Roast Pork, Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef and all the fixin’s and a dessert and ice cream  sundae bar.  Then travel to Kitchen Kettle Village to spend a few hours browsing the Amish markets.  Last take in the 2018 Sight and Sounds Theatre show “Jesus.”  This trip is guaranteed to be nothing short of fabulous!  Seats are limited!  Fees include round trip transportation, buffet lunch and show ticket. Cost: $140

LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER AND DAVE & BUSTERS, PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA

Bring your friends and family along for a family fun day at Plymouth Meeting Mall where you will enjoy hours of endless fun at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, the ultimate indoor Lego Playground!  LEGOLAND Discovery Center features a Lego themed ride, Lego 4-D Cinema, and 10 themed play areas.  Before heading home try your luck at the arcade style games at Dave and Buster, where even the adults will feel like kids again!  Registration fee includes roundtrip transportation, LEGOLAND Discovery Center admission and pre-loaded Dave and Buster Power Card ($12 value).

(Note:  While some older Lego enthusiasts may also enjoy LEGOLAND Discovery center, it is specifically designed for children ages 3-10.  Adults must be accompanied by a child for entrance into LEGOLAND Discovery Center.)

Ready, Set, PLAY!!!!  MGM National Harbor has the largest gaming floor in the area meaning there are lots of options to satisfy even the most serious gamblers.  Go all in and try your hand at Poker.  Feeling Lucky, place your bets at one of the available table games such as Black Jack, Craps, Roulette and more.  Or enjoy the sounds of hitting the Jackpot on a slot machine.  Then when it’s time for a break, unwind, take a seat and enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants on site or spend your winnings in the casino stores.  Must be 21 years of age or older to attend. Cost: $30

Museums, Monuments & Memorials, Oh My! – Create your own itinerary to enjoy a day on your own in the Nation’s Capital.  The choice is up to you, whether you immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Smithsonian Institute’s newest museum, The African American History and Culture Museum, or take the time to remember and reflect at the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, or just simply gaze upon the Washington Monument while taking in all the amazing architecture that surrounds the National Mall.  However you choose to spend your time, the day is sure to not disappoint. LURAY CAVERNS

Bring the family or friends to discover one of nature’s finest creations.  More than 4,000,000 centuries in the making Luray Caverns is the largest, most popular cavers in the Eastern United States.    See spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formation such as Saracen’s Tent, Giant’s Hall, Dream Lake, Titania’s Veil and you won’t believe your ears when you hear that Stalacpipe Organ play!  After the cavern tour enjoy time on your own to explore the other attractions on site.  Bring a bag lunch or enjoy lunch on your own at one of the two cafes on site.  Registration fee includes round trip transportation, guided tour of Luray Caverns, and self-guided tours of Luray Valley Museum, Car & Carriage Caravan, & Toy Town Junction.  BUS TRIP GUIDELINES

A volunteer(s) will be sought to act as trip chaperone on a first come first serve basis.  As compensation for performing chaperone duties the volunteer(s) will attend free of charge.  If you are interested in volunteering as chaperone please contact the Queen Anne’s County Parks & Recreation, 410-758-0835 x. 2532 or email Stacy Voorhees at svoorhees@qac.org.

 

Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time if it does not meet the minimum registration requirement by the registration deadline.  At which time all registered participants will receive a full refund. (A minimum of 35 participants are required by the posted deadline for each trip to continue.)

 

Refunds will not be issued unless your trip package can be resold or the trip is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled.  Refunds will not be issued until after the trip takes place and may take up to 2 weeks to process.  (Exceptions due to severe injury or illness will be at the discretion of the Department of Parks & Recreation  management.)

 

A Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks & Recreation Waiver & Release form must be signed by every participant.  If the participant is a minor, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian.
