KIDZART CAMP, AGES 7 – 12 

KidzArt Camp…..This camp is all about having FUN and trying new materials! This camp offers a diverse arts curriculum geared to stretch minds, exercise imaginations, and introduce new idea-generating techniques. It will be perfect for kids who love art or who would just like to try something new! Join us for quality art instruction that mixes technique and skill building with opportunities for creative freedom and self-expression in a fun and relaxed environment. NATURE CAMP, AGES 7-12 

Let’s explore all the great outdoors has to offer!  Children will have the opportunity to participate in all sorts of activities, including fishing, kayaking/canoeing, and hiking.  Each week will include a unique opportunity to visit local and state parks, centers, museums and more.  Each child will leave this camp with increased confidence, character, fun, friendship a sense of accomplishment. This camp is sure to be fun and educational!

HOME ECONOMICS CAMP, AGES 9-13

This Home-Ec Camp will introduce campers to basic sewing, cooking, and hospitality skills. These campers will enjoy sewing projects, kitchen know-how, basic cooking skills, and creating a special dessert to take home on the last day of camp.

Kiddie Chefs will develop and build upon their skills as they progress through this camp. During this camp your little chef will focus on kitchen safety, proper food handling and food preparation in the kitchen, as well as presentation, table setting, etiquette, and manners at the table!  It is the goal of this camp to alleviate the fear and unknown of the kitchen and replace it with joy and excitement.

MADD SCIENTIST, AGES 9-13 

Put on your lab coat and safety glasses. Break out the test tubes and beakers as campers learn and explore the world through science. Learn hands-on experiments including slime-making, volcano building, lava lamp creating and more. Campers are sure to make a mess, have a blast and probably create one, too. Campers must bring a bag lunch, two snacks and drinks each day.

Will it be an amazing creation or an epic fail?  There is only one way to find out!  Campers will try their hands at various projects, crafts, recipes and games all inspired by Pinterest, YouTube and various other social media outlets.  The outcome of each trial is not always a guaranteed success but campers are guaranteed to have fun trying!

QUILT CAMP, AGES 10-17

You will Learn: Names and use of sewing and quilting notions; Measuring, marking and cutting quilt fabric and blocks; The basics of using a sewing machine; Turning quilt blocks into a quilt top; Measuring and cutting quilt batting and backing; Putting the 3 layers (sandwich) of your quilt together; Labeling and hand tying your quilt. Participants will be creating a “windmill” pattern quilt, measuring 60” X 80” when finished. The quilt is strip pieced by machine and hand tied. Participants will need to bring the following with them for camp: SEWING MACHINE (in good working order with bobbin), FABRIC—must be non-directional and 100% cotton (Quilt Top—3 Complementary fabrics, 43” wide:
~2 yd. light colored fabric ~1-1/8 yd. medium colored fabric ~1-1/8 yd. dark colored fabric,
Quilt Back—3-1/2 yd. fabric @ 43” wide OR 1-3/4yd. WIDE backing fabric or WIDE muslin at least 85” wide), THREAD—100% Cotton coordinating thread for machine stitching, EMBROIDERY FLOSS—1-2 skeins for tying the quilt sandwich together
ALL OTHER PROJECT NOTIONS, TOOLS, SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED.
