1st Annual Fishing Derby at White Marsh Park

Youth Fishing Derby’s are a great way to introduce a child to fishing – even if you have  ever been fishing yourself. Fishing Derby’s are typically held at small ponds or lakes and are aimed at helping beginners successfully catch a fish. Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Maryland Department of Natural Resources. First 50 register participants  will receive a tee-shirt. Fishing rods are available first come first serve!  Prizes will be given out in three major categories largest, most and smallest fish in two age groups 8 and under and  ages 9 -16.   Cost: $5:00 per child
