FOREST FOREVER | Ages 6-9

Have your children ever shown an interest in nature to the point where they want to help restore the Earth’s natural playground? This hands-on and educational Earth Day program will have them become involved in replenishing the forest in their neighborhoods! The earth’s forests are being depleted faster than they are being replenished. Deforestation is a major environmental issue as cities and roads have been built in areas that were once home to thriving forest ecosystems.

Your children will be able to:
– Learn about the he importance of our forests
– Learn about germination and compare and contrast a variety of unique seed pods and pine cones
– Eat a pine nut for a little “taste” of the forest
– Plant a tree at Conquest and take home a pine tree
