Come and kayak along the Southeast Creek! This is an excellent place from which to explore the rural farmlands of Church Hill, a town that dates back to the 1600’s. Church Hill is a quiet farming town that seeks to preserve a small town identity. Advanced, Beginner, and Intermediate paddlers can head upstream to experience the small town feel as they sojourn through farmland and forests on the gradually narrowing Southeast Creek. Cost: $20.00 per person (Rental on 9/7 will begin at 12:30 p.m.) Please call our office to reserve today.

Get into the fall spirit with this hands-on workshop. We’ll supply the straw, string and decorations to help your scarecrow come to life! Children will be able to participate in painting small pumpkins and Arts and crafts. Each participant will need to bring long pants, long sleeve shirt and bring your CREATIVE SPIRIT! Cost: $20

 A one of a kind, fun, hands on educational experience in Centreville’s Hidden Gem!

Have you ever dreamt of being able to get this close to a live bird of prey? Then this event is perfect for you! Spectators will have a chance to learn all about the raptors role in our environment, interact with the bird, get your picture taken, and watch it fly while the Falconer answers all your questions about this incredible connection between hawk and hunter! Now is your chance to get up close and personal with one of the Eastern Shore’s top predators! Registration Spaces are limited! No onsite registration offered! Cost: $15

MEET SANTA, ALL AGES                       

Take a break from the normal holiday hustle and spend your morning in the comfort of a cozy clubhouse on the Chesapeake Bay with Santa! Kids will have an opportunity to put their creative sides to test when they make their own ornaments while indulging in fresh donuts and hot chocolate. Parents will have the opportunity to take their child’s picture with Santa as they tell him what they want for the holidays.  Pre–registration is not required but is strongly encouraged. All Ages Welcome! Cost: $10

WOOF AND WALK,  ALL AGES                      

Winter Blues? Cabin Fever? It’s time to get off the couch and into nature. Bring your 4 – legged best friends and join Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation staff as we get our bodies moving and bask in the fresh winter air. This guided hike will go through the equestrian trail at Conquest and will talk about the local wildlife and the future landscape of this hidden gem.  We will meet at the trail head in the parking lot. Please dress accordingly and bundle up for the potentially cold weather. All dogs who participate in the hike must remain on a physical leash at all times! Non– Socialized dogs NOT recommended! Cost: $6
