Enrichment Programs


Come and make your own 7″x9″ shoulder bag/purse. During this workshop you will learn: Names and use of sewing notions; Measuring and cutting fabric and blocks; the basics of a sewing machine; making a shoulder strap; inserting a zipper. All project notions and sewing machines will be provided. However, PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN FABRIC CHOICES AND ZIPPER.
(Fabric Requirements:  All fabric should be 100% cotton.  You will need 3 fat quarters measuring 18”x22” of coordinating fabric, 8” zipper and coordinating thread.  1 skein of embroidery floss is optional.  If you have your own supplies or sewing machine and wish to bring them with you that would be OK too.)  Cost: $50

Kid with ballSports Activities for Youth with Disabilities is a unique recreational program designed so that children with any type of disability can participate in sports, particularly if their disability makes it difficult for them to join other mainstream programs. Activities will be tailored to meet the interest and ability level of each participant. The kids can learn basic skills and participate on an individual basis with a small group in basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, hockey, volleyball, bowling and kickball. A parent or guardian is required to attend and may help or participate as needed. Cost: $75
